Palestinian teen shot dead by Israeli Forces north of Jenin after alleged stabbing attack

A 15-year-old Palestinian was shot dead near al-Jalama military checkpoint north of Jenin, Saturday, after allegedly attempting to stab an Israeli security guard.

Eyewitnesses told Ma'an News Agency that "there were no stabbing attempts" when Israeli forces shot the youth.

The injured youth was allegedly dragged inside of the checkpoint by Israeli soldiers, who prevented the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances reaching him for treatment.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian was shot by Israeli forces at the Gilboa crossing, south of Afula, after an alleged stabbing attack.

In a statement on twitter, the IDF said that, following an attempted stabbing, “security personnel responded to the threat. Assailant shot on site”

The latest incidents marks at least 56 Palestinians killed since the beginning of the month, as violence escalates across the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza.
