At The World Travel Market at ExCeL London, street artist Banksy took advantage of the event to offer 1,000 posters at the stand of Palestine, to show his support and educate visitors to the current situation of the country.

In an Instagram post he announced: "We will be at the Palestine booth to give stuff for free."

Banksy himself was not physically there, but people representing him handed out posters.

In 2005 Banksy had travelled to the Israeli-Palestinian border to paint murals.

He made nine paintings, depicting children who make sandcastles, fantastic landscapes and the famous image of little girl rising into the air by balloons.

In his own way, he cries out against injustice and makes people think. His work then became known worldwide as a voice denouncing inequity and inequality.

The poster offered at the World Travel Market is inspired by a holiday postcard with a "banksyienne" touch that breaks its apparent innocence.

Under a drawing of a childish carousel, it is written: "Visit the historical PALESTINE, the Israeli army loved it so much that it never left", pointing, in an acid way, to the Israeli occupation.

The carousel and children are hung on a military watchtower. In addition to the 1,000 limited copies available on the stand, Banksy has put the high-definition poster on its website for free so that everyone can download and print it.

The artist had also announced that he would present at the Palestine booth of the show, a replica of the separation wall between the West Bank and Israel, in reference to his Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem, located five meters from the same wall.

This replica shows a piece of wall on which two winged angels - one Israeli, the other Palestinian - are drawn.
