An Israeli man allegedly stabbed four Palestinians in the southern Israeli city of Dimona Friday morning.

Haaretz reports that a 35 year old and one other were moderately wounded and two 50 year olds lightly wounded.

Three of the men were construction workers and one a Bedouin municipal employee. All four are thought to be from the West Bank.

The incident occurred next to a local school. Police have arrested the suspect, a 24 year old resident of the city.

Motives behind the attack are not clear, however it appears to be a nationalistically motivated revenge attack in retaliation to the knife attacks by Palestinians against Israelis in the past week.

Eight Israelis were injured in four stabbing attacks Thursday, in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba, and Afula.

Thursday’s attacks brought the total number of knife attacks against Israelis in the past week to seven. Two Israelis have been killed and three Palestinians have been shot dead following the attacks.
