It has now been a week since Trump announced the US recognises Jerusalem as Israel's capital and will be moving its embassy there from Tel Aviv, setting off protests around the world and protests-turn-clashes with Israeli forces in Palestine.

Since then, reportedly 50 Palestinian Jerusalem residents have been arrested, according to Committee for Families of Jerusalem’s Prisoners.

On Tuesday night, (Dec 12), Israeli forces detained West Bank’s Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef in overnight raids, along with 32 Palestinians arrested for 'involvement in terrorist activities’, including according to the Times of Israel.

Clashes on Wednesday (Dec 13) near the illegal settlement of Beit El, north of Ramallah were infiltrated by 'mustarabeen', undercover Israeli forces, dressed as Palestinian protestors; a display of a step up in tactics.

All seemed eerily calm until uniformed Israeli soldiers began firing live rounds into the air to disperse around 300 protestors, making way for the undercover forces to arrest five youth, including 2 girls.

In the same day, 252 Palestinians were injured across the West Bank, including 186 by tear gas and seven by live ammunition, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
