A Palestinian man, identified as Mutaz Atallah Qassem, 22, was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly attacked an Israeli soldier and one settler near the Israeli Adam settlement in the Ramallah district.
The Israel Police Foreign Press Spokesperson stated that another suspect was detained following the attack.
A 19 year old soldier is in a critical condition after sustaining knife wounds in her upper body.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a suspected car-ramming attack took place near the town of Silwad in the West Bank.
A Palestinian driver allegedly drove a car into a police officer at a checkpoint in the Ramallah district, then fled the scene on foot. The driver was later located and detained.
Earlier Wednesday morning a Palestinian teenager, Istabraq Ahmad Noor, 15, was shot and injured by Israeli forces, who claimed she was in possession of a knife.
Also on Wednesday, a 54 year old Palestinian man, Hashem al-Azzeh, died after suffering excessive tear gas inhalation during clashes with Israeli soldiers in Hebron.
Clashes erupted in Hebron Wednesday after two Palestinian teenagers were shot dead Tuesday evening following an alleged stabbing attack near a military checkpoint in the Old City of Hebron.
Forty-eight Palestinians have now been killed by Israeli forces and Israeli settlers across Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza since Oct. 1.
